We’ve recently started working with a client in the home construction business who is moving offices and seeking a specific look for their new workspace. The owner is a big Mid-Century Modern fan and wants their office to reflect that style. Our challenge and goal then became to create two different design options that blend the Mid-Century look with a residential feel and make it all look fresh and current. What a cool concept!
We pulled together a color palette of light, soft neutral wall finishes and tweed wallcovering and contrasting that with navy accents and walnut wood veneer. We intentionally avoided the orange typical of Mid-Century design and instead brought in a pop of natural green color with indoor plants.
We ended up loving both design options equally for different reasons. Which one would you choose?

The Mid-Century Modern look is very popular again and has even been translated into commercial workstation designs. Check out this beautiful line by West Elm Workspace that recently launched.
