When a client asks us for a calm and relaxing space, we often start with a palette of warm and cool grays, off-whites and wood tones accompanied by contrasting textures and subtle patterns.

An exclusively neutral color palette can be made visually rich and exciting by carefully marrying warm and cool colors. Warm colors are stimulating and cool colors calming and relaxing. Balancing these contrasting characteristics results in some of our favorite interiors we’ve designed at Space as Art, pictured below. Enjoy!
