Angela Rodriguez is the founder and award-winning Principal Interior Designer of Space as Art. Growing up in the Philadelphia area, Angela trained as a fine artist until her growing passion for the innovative restaurant design she saw in her hometown inspired her to free her artwork from the two-dimensional confines of paper and canvas. She began to build her career creating three-dimensional, all-enveloping experiences through the design of physical space.
After graduating from top design school, Ringling College of Art and Design, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, academic honors, and several design awards under her belt, Angela went to work for some of the world’s top Architecture and Interior Design firms. There, she gained diverse and valuable experience in commercial and hospitality design throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
In 2009, Angela fulfilled her dream of bringing this global, professional experience to her own Florida-based interior design studio, Space as Art.
Angela is licensed by the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design, a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and has earned the designation of LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Accredited Professional by the United States Green Buildings Council. She is also the 2009 global recipient of the International Design Awards’ third prize in Conceptual Interior Design.
Angela enjoys working with clients on all types of projects to “create space as art, places, as destinations, and interactive experiences that ignite the senses.”
