Space as Art’s Office Renovation Reveal

Welcome to our studio! It’s truly our home away from home.

Since moving from Downtown Sarasota to Lakewood Ranch, our new space has gone through quite the transformation in order to become our design studio. Our team has poured many hours of brainpower and love into the design of this space for it to become the warm, inviting and comfortable yet professional studio it is today. Little details will continue to develop over time, but we’re happy to have it at a point where we could photograph and share it. Curious to see how it looked before we renovated? Check it out here.

The front lobby is a multipurpose space that leads to our conference room, private office and back studio. This is a first impression space to introduce guests and clients to a taste of our aesthetic and a chance to sit on and see in person some of the custom furniture lines that we offer, such as the sofa pictured. Our plan is to continually add to, refresh, and rearrange, this space over time.

This back area was underutilized space by the previous owners who had used it mainly for file storage. We were able to design a welcoming and comfortable area to work while utilizing the existing concrete floors and garage door as part of the design. The fabric wall panels (an acoustic material that absorbs sound) and the glass window inserts were all key in taking this space from warehouse to warm.

The cozy meeting lounge is where we settle in every Monday morning to review the status on current and upcoming projects and create a game plan for the week ahead. We painted dry erase rectangles on the wall to use for list to keep us organized, and a growing collage of images we tape up keep us inspired.

Our open materials library houses thousands of samples from fabrics to wallcoverings, flooring and paints. It’s our goal to continually keep our library up to date by clearing out dated materials and replenishing with the latest products to offer our clients in the designs we create.
